Wondering...

Ok, I am sitting here in bed and wondering why the male gender does not care about feelings as much as females.  Before I say anything, I question how the other person is going to act to it or feel about it.  Because, I do not want to hurt their feelings.  Does that make me sensitive?  No, I don't think so.  I just think it makes me a good friend, co-worker, etc.

Let me give some background info...
The male in my life is moving this weekend.  And he was telling me that he may not get to see me.  He livs in Beech Grove and we do not see eachother through the week.  And I usually work Friday nights and Saturday mornings.  So that leaves Saturday evenings and Sundays.
He mentioned that maybe I could come see his new place Friday evening.  And I asked if he was working Saturday morning (some Saturdays he goes into work at 2am)  and he told me I couldn't stay the night.
Well, I had no intentions on it.  But it made me mad because...
1- He has stayed with me countless times.  I have made my whole apartment open to him for weeks.
2- it was just a mean thing to say, period.

I want to be clear, I will not be staying there for these reasons...
1- I can't sleep unless I'm in MY bed
2- I have a doggie that needs cared for
3- I love being home

Anyway, lst night, I told him that that frustrated me.  And he laughed it off and said he was just joking.  Ok, so, my question is... why does he keep "joking" when he knows it upsets me?  I can't help but think he's being serious until he finds out I'm upset or have hurt feelings, then he plays off as just joking around.

So here it is Thursday evening and I have not heard from him all day. Which frustrates me too.  Because I am a planner and I NEED to know the plan for tomorrow.  Am I visiting, am I helping him move stuff?  Are we going shopping? (He needs lots of things because he's moving from a furnished place to a not furnished place!) Are we eating?

All these questions!  I know, I need to let go of some of this but it's so hard!!!
