OK, 1st of all. I had Friday July 3rd off from work. And I woke up and looked outside and saw that it was a beautiful day so I decided to get my swimsuit on and go to the pool. Very normal thing for me to do on a nice day!
Well I walk over and there was a sigh that read "pool closed for repairs be open shortly." Then I started to wonder how long is "shortly?" So I walk back and sat down and played fetch with Chloe. Then I took her out to potty and we walked to the pool and there was a new sign "pool closed for the weekend for repairs." Well let me tell you I was upset because it was a nice day and the pool is closed.
Well I live across from the pool and I have not seen any kind of repairs going on. I think management decided to close it because if was a holiday weekend. That was kind of crappy if you ask me but no one did so oh well.
So the rest of the day I moped around.
Then came Saturday, I woke up with a sore throat and headache. Which shouldn't surprise me because last July 4th I was just getting over a sinus infection. So with the rain comes the headache. I really should be used to it by now. So I took medicine and went to bed. I watched the fireworks in NYC on NBC. Then I went to sleep.
Sunday (today) came and I woke up and felt worse then the day before. Why? It was not raining. Well who knows. So all day I've felt icky with nasal drainage and a sore head.
Chloe has been so good this weekend. She has layed beside me while sleeping so I thought she needed a break. So this afternoon we went to Dad's so she could play with Sarah and Dixie Do. She loves going there and I love it too because she plays so hard that she sleeps for the rest of the night.
Well while there my brother decided to take all 3 dogs outside in the back yard. Ok, no big deal they go back there and play all the time. Well what he needed to do first was put Dixie Do and the rope. That way she doesn't run off. Sarah and Chloe are fine and they know their boundaries. Well all of a sudden my step-mom sees my brother running ine back yard from the kitchen window. Then she sees the dogs running. All 3 dogs! So my dad and I go outside he goes 1 way around the house and I go the other way. We meet in the backyard. Sarah is pacing back and forth she doesn't know what to do.
Then I see my brother at the back corner of the yard by the gate that leads to the field behind the yard. There is usually horses back there but not today. Chloe and Dixie were back there running. Normally I don't mind Chloe running back there but the last time Sarah went back there she rolled around in horse doodoo. So that's the last thing I wanted to do tonight. I have a pounding headache and here I am chasing dogs in a field filled with horse crap.
Finally they come and we get them up to the gate. Thankfully the only thing Chloe had on her was little bit of dirt and pollen on her nose.
She was in big trouble because she did not come to me when I called her name. We all went back into the house. My dad was telling my brother not to ever do that again. And the whole time my step-mom was watching from the kitchen window. My dad went to the garage to get something. My step-mom said she needed to check on dad. I asked why and she said he had fallen out in the field. I did not know because I was walking/running in front of him. Of corse my brother had seen it too because he had the best seat- he was standing at the gate. He didn't go running he just watched his dad and sister do it!
Anyway- my dad's back was hurt a little but I think he is going to be fine. Before I left he was up singing and dancing! He is so silly. He makes up songs and they are funny and we all laugh! As I grow older I see I have his sense of humor.
So now were back home. I watched "New in Town" with Harry Connick Jr and Renee Zellweger. It was good. It was kind of slow to start but had a good ending. I actually did a little clap at the end!
Ok, I have had my shower took my allergy med and it should knock me out anytime. I need to Chloe out one more time for the day. By the way- after her big run this afternoon she is knocked out. So it should a good night sleepy town!
